Mornin' campers!
Well Sunday we slowed jammed the announcements and LONG-jammed the message
Thanks to all my Facebook friends who said they didn't notice the length of the service-just the power of it!

What a great morning at Oakbrook! So proud of everyone who was baptized yesterday!!! As a church lets commit to praying for these great people as they continue their journey of learning to live like Jesus.
It's been really tough to put into words a summary of what this weekend has been like at Oakbrook. There are a few words that stand out to me though: Inspiring, amazing, challenging, wonderful, reaching... and I'm sure the list could go on and on.
Really enjoyed the 5 Lies of the Devil series! I hope you are more aware now of the deception the evil one throws your way. By way of reminder here are the 5 Lies... Lie-Just follow your heart...Truth-Don't follow your heart, follow the Holy Spirit. Lie-God will never put more on us than we can handle...Truth-God can handle anything. Lie-You can't change...Truth-You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength. Lie-Your faith is a Private issue...Truth-Your faith is a Shared issue. Lie-It's just Sex...Truth-Sex is more than activity it's Intimacy.
A few thoughts on a GREAT day at Oakbrook... It was great having Steve and Stephanie Standrigde with us yesterday! Please join me in praying for them and their ministry in Rome. Our faith is NOT a private matter you guys!
Really enjoyed being back at Oakbrook yesterday... I got to spend 2 weeks of vacation with my family recently and I'm so thankful for the times we get to be together and connect. Have you been on vacation or do you plan on taking one this summer? Leave a comment below about your vacation plans this summer...
It feels good to be back in Indiana. Vacation is awesome, but there's just something about being home that is comforting. There's also nothing like coming back to your home church when you've been away from it.
"So long 70 degree days of June." This morning I couldn't tell the difference between the steam coming off my coffee and the heat induced haze of early July.
Hope you had a great July 4th. Our family spent the evening with friends in the country just west of town. Tons of great Hoosier cooking and a phenomenal pro fireworks display right in their expansive back yard. Good times
