FOR: WHO OR WHAT ARE YOU FOR?

It’s easy to know what someone is against. The world seems as critical and cynical as ever. We tend to focus on what divides us rather than what brings us together. Far too long, the church has been known for what it’s against. We want to be known for what we are FOR.

BE “FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS” THIS MEMORIAL DAY

On Sunday, May 26, we are not having Sunday services at any of our locations to give you the opportunity to be for your neighbors! Memorial Day weekend is a natural time to celebrate the beginning of summer by cooking out, hanging out with friends and neighbors and of course, enjoying the big race.

Rather than just taking "a week off" from church, we want to challenge you to be the church in your neighborhood by leveraging this weekend to intentionally invest in the people God has placed in your life! Don't just have a cookout, invite some friends over who don't know Jesus. Don't just go to the race, go to the race with someone! Use this time outside of church to still be the church to the people God has placed around you.

Check out the list of ideas below to help spark your creativity:

  • Spend some time outdoors! Go for a walk and invite a friend to join you.

  • Head to the park with your family and some friends!

  • Have a cookout

  • Have a water balloon fight!

  • Throw a pool party

  • Go to the race with a friend

  • Invite friends over the watch the race on TV

  • Set Up a Lemonade Stand with your kids and invite your neighbors to come hang out!

  • Give away popsicles to your neighbors!
